The blue Channel on the 5150 3 is the one. I used that channel boosted with a grid slammer, and it had so much string clarity, and punch.

To me, the Mk V sounds lacking in both dynamics and detail. Even though it has less low-end then the MkIV, it sounds muddy

can anybody tell me why the mark ivs always have some kind of cheap rattly sound peaking out on the edge almost like a scratchy pot or blown out speaker but tonally they sound monstrous ...or am i hearing shit?

I've had a Mark IV and now have a Mark V. Everything the IV, can do, the V can do and do it as good or better. Plus it has a much better control layout. Mark V for me.

Why are you using an attenuator here with the Mark IV only on 2.8, not even 3?? This makes no sense to me. The whole point of an attenuator is so you can crank the power amp.
